What to Bring
Please bring the following items to your first appointment:
Bring your insurance card(s) and photo ID. We will verify your benefits and explain your coverage.
Any relevant medical records, imaging results (X-rays, MRIs), or reports from other healthcare providers.
We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Payment is expected at time of service.
Your First Visit
Here's what to expect during your initial appointment (typically 45-60 minutes):
Paperwork & Check-In
Complete new patient forms including health history, current symptoms, and insurance information. Arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for this process.
Consultation
Meet with Dr. McCoy to discuss your health concerns, symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals. This is your opportunity to ask questions.
Examination
Comprehensive physical examination including orthopedic and neurological tests, range of motion assessment, and postural analysis.
Diagnosis & Treatment Plan
Dr. McCoy will explain his findings, provide a diagnosis, and discuss recommended treatment options tailored to your specific needs.
First Treatment (if appropriate)
In many cases, you may receive your first chiropractic adjustment or treatment during this visit, depending on your condition.
Insurance & Payment
If you have questions about whether we accept your insurance, please call our office at 843-761-4470.
We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash and checks
- Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express)
- HSA and FSA cards
Payment is expected at the time of service. We will provide you with a receipt for insurance reimbursement if needed.
If your injury is related to an automobile accident or third party responsibility, special billing arrangements may apply. Please inform our staff when scheduling your appointment so we can assist you with the proper documentation or have your Attorney call us to get you scheduled.
How to Prepare
- Arrive Early: Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete paperwork.
- Wear Comfortable Clothing: Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended for your examination and treatment.
- List Your Symptoms: Write down your symptoms, when they started, and what makes them better or worse.
- Prepare Questions: Write down any questions you have about your condition or treatment options.
- Bring Records: If you have recent X-rays, MRIs, or medical reports, please bring them or have them sent to our office.
